Family Visits

Two weekends ago, Alex took his first trip! We first drove up to Bakersfield to stay with my family for a night so he could meet his cousins, aunts, uncles, and great-grandparents!

Four generations!

Aunt Carla

Aunt Jazmine

Cousin James

Cousins Lexi and Andrew

Our cute family

Great Grandfather Luther (Luke)!

Great Grandparents

Great Grannie Karen

Feeding time!

My perfect little angel

Papa!

Everyone was so happy to see and finally meet him! He did so great as well- no crying or fussing, just dealt with it and eventually fell asleep on Papa.

That next morning, we all met up for breakfast at a diner downtown, where Alex got to meet more cousins and his great uncle Lance! It was kind of a farewell for Grandfather (his great grandfather Luke), since he was visiting from Arkansas.

After breakfast, we all headed up north to Clovis to celebrate another cousin of his' 1st birthday! He then met so much more family! More cousins! More great aunts and uncles! He was so awesome the whole time- just slightly fussy near the end since dinner time was approaching (his favorite fussy time), but only a few fusses.

On our way!

Chillin with Dad

Coolin' off those little feet!

He really liked it!

One thing we learned- Alex is a great traveler! He's just so content, whether he's asleep or awake. Of course, I heard it will change when he's older, but we'll see! He did such a great, great job! Such a sweet baby boy.

It was a nice trip getting to visit everyone! We came home exhausted, but it was worth it all.

A few Alex updates: Almost 11 lbs! His 2 month appointment is on Tuesday. Also- he LOVES the water and isn't too bad with tummy time. He still sleeps really well too! I'm also happy to report he receives more breast milk than formula these days. It's been a work in progress, but we've been able to reduce his formula intake as he's been nursing more and I've been so far been able to keep up. Still more work to do and we still have our battles, but it's getting much better!

After a relaxing bath

Happy little guy!

Too cute I can't stand it!

All smiles!
