Our first stop was in Roseville, CA for his nephew Tyler's wedding. We stayed with his sister for a couple of days and we are so glad we went- it was worth the drive. He was able to see his mother whom he hasn't seen in at least a year as well as many other family members. It was very nice.
The wedding was absolutely beautiful- it was held in the small, gorgeous Sacramento temple. Though the weather was super cold, the day and scenery was just amazing- and the rain held off. It was pretty neat- as soon as we all got in our cars after the photo session to head to the reception, it started raining. Then the rain also held off when we cheered for them as they drove off after the reception.

The night before the wedding was a rehearsal dinner which was also nice (her family is inactive, so they had a ring ceremony at the reception). Everyone looked so great!
After the wedding and super gorgeous and awesome reception (where I got my dance on since they had a DJ), Gary and I stayed one more night then headed out the next morning.
We spent maybe a day back at home then headed up to Bakersfield for Christmas with my family! I had some treats the night before and honestly did not fall asleep until 4am. Normally I fall asleep quickly- this was the first time I couldn't sleep in a long time- and it's not like I was all excited like a little kid, but I think it was the traveling and such that may have thrown me off. But anyway, I was a zombie the next morning during the present opening time, but it was still fun! Thank goodness for naps!
Pretty much how it went to start
Don't you love his hair?

Anyway, we got a lot of neat things and had a fantastic Christmas with family.
We spent New Year's at home with each other and it was nice being just us! But yes, we had a fantastic holiday season with family.

We went up to Roseville for a wedding over the summer, and I agree, it is so beautiful up there! It wasn't a temple wedding, but still, I just love all the trees and "woodsey" feel of it. Glad you were able to enjoy Christmas with your family! Gary's hair in the Christmas morning pictures definitely is awesome. He must be getting hair tips from Ava LOL :)
